Meet the Attorney

Joseph Silvestro is an experienced litigator, with a diverse practice and significant trial experience. Mr. Silvestro has litigated in District Court, Common Pleas Court and Superior Court in Pennsylvania; Municipal Court, Superior Court and the Appellate Court in New Jersey and Federal District Courts in Both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His criminal defense practice utilizes the court room skills that were developed in his 6 year tenure as an Assistant District Attorney in Delaware County Office of the District Attorney, including stints as: head of the Juvenile Division; head of the Neighborhood Crimes Task Force; and head of the Arson Unit. Mr. Silvestro is also the Solicitor for the Upper Darby Police Relief Association, a nonprofit organization created for the peripheral support of active police officers who have been injured on duty or have suffered financial hardship. Mr. Silvestro is also an active member of his community. He is the former President of the Media Youth Center, a non-profit community organization that served the needs of up to 1,000 children in the program, at its peak. Mr. Silvestro served on the Board of Directors for 8 years, with tenure as President lasting 6 years. Upon his resignation from the Media Board, Mr. Silvestro undertook to sit on the Board of Directors for the Upper Darby Police Athletic League, where he is the Secretary of a non-profit organization that caters to under privileged children and young adults by providing a wide array of activities during the summer and after school.
